Accessibility Statement

The website was designed to be as simple to read and browse for people with visual and cognitive disabilities.

After the initial design was completed the following issues were picked up by the WAVE Accessibility Tool, but then fixed before launching the website. The web pages now pass the WAVE Tool analysis.

The main accessibility issues were the following:

• 1. Alt descriptions were missing from some images. Descriptions added where needed, with blank alternative text added to purely decorative images.
• 2. Tab focus state not highlighted. Now colour highlight when using tab key.

Future updates to the site will aim to conform as closely as possible to WCAG 2.1 AA.
